Wayne Holmes
Wayne Holmes

Wayne Holmes writes and speaks from the heart about love, family, and spirituality. He resides in Fairfield Ohio with his wife Linda, three cats, and one dog.

Wayne grew up in a strong Christian home, went to college to be a minister, and served in his home church as pastor to families with children. During the course of his years of ministry he has conducted weddings and funerals, performed as a clown, juggler, puppeteer, story teller, and game show host.

Wayne's experience as a father of four, and his love of books, has enabled him to observe how fathers, mothers, teachers, and children can  demonstrate a characteristic of the nature of God. It is this spiritual connection that led Wayne to compile the book, The Heart of a Father, and other sequels.

The Greater Cincinnati Christian Writers' Fellowship has awarded him several honors including: Newcomer of the Year; You Have a Way with Words; Newsman of the Year; and the distinguished 1997 Writer of the Year award. In January, 2001, Wayne assumed the leadership role for that fellowship. He was also awarded Honorable Mention in the 1996 Writers' Digest Writing Competition which received over twelve thousand entries.

Wayne's writing has appeared in such publications as Preacher's Magazine, Come Ye Apart, The Christian Communicator, and The Church of God EVANGEL.  He has had letters published in The Cincinnati Enquirer and Writer's Digest. He is also co-author of the book, Lost and Found, a children's church seven week teaching unit published by One Way Street located in Denver, Colorado. One of the author's stories, The Fall of Humpty Dumpty, is included in the book, Ripples of Joy, compiled and edited by Cheryl Kirking.
